Overview
Snap-8, acetyl glutamyl octapeptide-3, is a synthetic octapeptide extending the hexapeptide argireline motif by two N-terminal glutamyl residues for enhanced aqueous solubility and SNARE complex interaction in cosmetic neuroscience research. Designed as a topical research tool mimicking synaptosome-associated protein SNARE domain interactions, Snap-8 competes with SNAP-25 for inclusion in the SNARE complex in vitro, modulating acetylcholine vesicle fusion in neuronal culture models adapted for dermatological assay development. Snap-8 supports investigation of expression wrinkle formation mechanisms at the neuromuscular junction-skin interface in cosmetic science without botulinum toxin administration. Supplied at ≥98% purity (C50H69N15O10; 1075.2 g/mol), this material supports controlled laboratory investigation under research-use-only conditions.
